This 1914 Ford Model T, engine #405444, is the finished product of a year-long collaboration between the Owls Head Transportation Museum and local high school students at the Mid Coast School of Technology (MCST). Offered for sale at NO RESERVE, the money raised by this sale will help fund further cooperative educational projects between OHTM and MCST. The engine is a 1920 engine with a self starter and is in very good running order. Front to back, the running gear on this vehicle is in excellent shape. The rear end, drive shaft and front end were all rebuilt. Original 1914 parts include the fenders and running boards, wheels, radiator, and windshield, as well as all of the lanterns. Museum volunteers produced a quality running chassis. MCST Carpentry students constructed a custom express body of quality oak; the Metal Fabrication class produced all of the hardware. This car’s provenance represents the future of the collector-car hobby.
