Featured at the 2018 New England Auto Auction™, Chassis #S142ML is an excellent example of what is considered by many to be one of the finest motor cars ever produced, the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. Its Oxford coachwork by Rolls-Royce Custom Coachwork embodies all of the style and design of the period. Originally, this automobile was invoiced to Ms. Nellie Cluett of Troy, New York, of Cluett, Peabody & Co., proprietors of the ARROW shirt makers. To date, the entire ownership history of this vehicle is known.
This Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost seven-passenger touring car won 2nd Place at the National Williamsburg Rolls-Royce Concours meet and has been maintained in this condition as evident by the new upholstery, carpet and paint work. Steve Litton, world renown Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost expert and restorer, rebuilt the engine. Bill Kennedy tested the engine on his dyno, revealing excellent torque and power. A partial rewiring of this vehicle was also performed. Opportunities to own a well-documented, concours-quality Silver Ghost are rare, making this a desirable automobile for any classic enthusiast. Sold with title and registration.
