Details

Shadow is a 1926 26’ Chris-Craft triple cockpit runabout that comes to the New England Auto Auction™ from the Walgreen Collection. Its current owner purchased the boat from framed Chris-Craft icon George Johnson. Mr. Johnson was regarded as one of the foremost authorities on vintage Chris-Crafts during his lifetime. Shadow is a fully restored, high quality classic Chris-Craft.

At the time of restoration, a great deal of detail was paid to the quality of the components and woodwork of this classic wooden boat. A well loved craft, this runabout has always been properly stored and cared for by its current, long-time owner. During restoration, the boat was re-powered with a Vortec 8100 engine and has been GPS clocked at 55 mph.

The grandson of Walgreens founder Charles R. Walgreen, Mr. Jim Walgreen is a lifelong enthusiast and collector of quality automobiles and vintage boats. Over the years, these craft have been common sights at shows and events in the Lake Winnipesaukee region of New Hampshire.

Sold with a registration and trailer.
