This 1937 Dodge D-5 Sedan, #D537944TS, was purchased by the current owner in 1997. At that time the condition of the car was fair to poor, but the important parts and items were all there. Over the next 6 years (1997-2003) the current owner did the restoration and went through just about everything on the car. This included the entire brake system, a complete engine rebuild, clutch, pressure plate and other mechanical items. The body is all original steel. The goal was to keep the car as original as possible, while still being safe and usable. At the time of restoration it was painted the silver/grey color that it is now. Many items have been re-chromed. The interior was completely done over, including a new headliner. All new rubber on every window. 1937 was the last year for the opening windshield and cowl mounted headlights. This car has suicide doors and a gull wing opening hood. The car is very dependable to drive and draws a crowd most anywhere.
