Details

This is 1964 Ford Fairlane 500, #4F31T134955, is a high-quality Ford Thunderbolt tribute car built by Ford specialists. Purchased by the current owner in Georgia through well-known racing engine builder Dwight Powell, this vehicle underwent an extensive restoration that included stripping the body to bare metal and installing a 100% new and correct interior with Ford Econoline seats. The front fenders, front bumper and hood are made from the correct Thunderbolt fiberglass. Powell built the 427 ci center oiler engine, and the 4-speed transmission is a David Kee toploader. The shift ball is a Mark Martin ball from Rousch Racing. Famed Thunderbolt racer from the early 1960’s Milo Coleman has autographed the glove box.

This vehicle participated in the 40th Anniversary Thunderbolt Reunion in 2004 at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Penn. According to the consignor, this is one of the best Thunderbolt tributes out there; it is set up not only for power and speed but also for driveability. Sold with a registration.
