When Clifford Stetson was about to turn 55, he decided to purchase a new 1965 Ford Thunderbird 2-Door Coupe to celebrate the milestone. Offered for sale at NO RESERVE, this special Landau edition T-Bird comes in a classic Emberglo paint (that matched Clifford’s natural red hair) and a lovely contrasting parchment-colored interior. For almost 30 years, it was used only as a special occasion car or for short family rides on weekends, racking up fewer than 60,000 original miles. Under the hood, the bird features an 8-cylinder, 390 ci engine with 4-barrel carburetors that pull 300 hp with an automatic transmission. It passed on to Clifford’s granddaughter, the current owner and a fellow fiery redhead, in 1994, and she has kept it safely garaged and otherwise maintained ever since. She has spent the last 24 years driving it with family and in local parades and rallies, always storing it in a safe and dry garage and keeping it insured, registered and running well. Now, more than 50 years since it was purchased by Clifford, it is ready for a new family and many more happy miles. Sold with a title, registration and current inspection sticker.
