Save the date and get your tickets now! The Barnstormers Ball is the Museum’s third annual evening fundraising gala. Don your finest 1920s-inspired evening wear and dance the night away at OHTM! In 2015 more than 200 people enjoyed live music, fabulous food and libations set amid our world-class collection of ground vehicles and aircraft. This year, exciting additions will include a Charlie Chaplin impersonator, Fox on the Run food truck (in addition to Swan’s Way Catering), a select live auction and more! The winner of our 2016 raffle vehicle — a 1966 MGB Roadster — will be drawn. Tickets are available now and a limited number will be offered. All proceeds benefit Museum programs.
Buy the ticket, win the ride! This beautiful 1966 MGB could be yours! The Owls Head Transportation Museum is pleased to announce our 3rd annual vehicle raffle! Following the success of our 2014 and 2015 fundraising raffles, OHTM is excited to offer one lucky winner the chance to own one of the finest examples of a 1966 MG MGB Roadster that we’ve seen to date. Tickets are $100 each and only 999 will be sold. All proceeds benefit Museum programs.
This much anticipated annual gathering attracts hundreds of motorcycles from all over New England, with favorite marques including Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Honda, BMW, Indian and Ducati interspersed with rare and antique bikes from the world over. In 2015 this event attracted more than 400 exhibitors throughout the weekend. A designated parking area on show grounds will be reserved for modern motorcycles, and all pre-1996 motorcycles are admitted free. Free kids activities, ground vehicle demonstrations and Model T rides are included in this fun family event.
Our annual salute to the diverse world of foreign automobiles features hundreds of stunning vintage vehicles from around the world. The featured marque for the 2016 Foreign Auto Festival is Volvo; Volvos of any vintage and all pre-1996 vehicles are admitted free. Free kids activities and Model T rides ensure that there is plenty of fun for the whole family at this great autumn event.
Our annual holiday celebration is a popular one-day affair with free admission for all! Santa’s reindeer rest up while he enjoys a different form of air travel in the Museum’s 1979 Piper Super Cub, flying in for a special appearance at the Museum. The Mid-Coast Community Band performs a special holiday concert, and free family activities are offered throughout the morning.
