2026 Adult Lecture Series: Racing

The Winter Lecture Series runs January through April, bringing together engaging lectures and hands-on STEM fun for kids – all in one visit. You can enjoy inspiring talks from Maine community members and special guest speakers, while younger visitors dive into interactive STEM Saturday activities throughout the day.

Kickoff event: Saturday, January 24, 2026
Theme: Racing

The lecture will begin at 1:00 PM and run approximately 45 minutes. Members of The Great Race team will share stories from their travels, while the Pine Tree Jamboree team explores the connection between education and racing. As a special highlight, every race car in the museum will have its hood open so visitors can take a closer look under the hood.

Kids can enjoy STEM Saturday – Robot Racing from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Plus: Collection highlights, open hood, on view from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

All activities are included with museum membership or daily admission. Bring the whole family and spend the day learning, exploring, and racing into winter fun.
