The OHTM Experience

At Owls Head Transportation Museum, history doesn’t sit still—it moves.
Step into a world where engines roar, propellers spin, and imagination takes flight. From vintage biplanes and early automobiles to motorcycles, engines, and bicycles, every piece in the collection tells the story of how people shaped—and were shaped by—innovation.
Visitors of all ages can explore interactive exhibits, meet restoration experts at work, and even watch historic machines come alive during our outdoor demonstrations and seasonal events. Kids can spark their curiosity in the Science & Industry Center, while adults can dive deeper into craftsmanship, design, and the art of motion.
Whether you’re drawn by the beauty of early engineering, the thrill of flight, or simply the joy of discovery, a visit to OHTM is more than a museum trip—it’s an experience that connects the past to the present and inspires the innovators of tomorrow.
