DESCRIPTION:Get ready for Maine’s premier airshow experience! The Wings & Wheels Airshow combines iconic aerobatic performances with historic aircraft and ground vehicles from OHTM’s collection. Featuring warbirds\, skydivers\, antique aircraft demonstrations\, and thrilling aerial acts\, this high-energy weekend delivers unforgettable excitement for the whole family—on the ground and in the sky. \n \nYou don’t want to miss this year’s exciting performers! \n\nScott Francis – Aerobatic Acts\nVacationland Jumps – Skydivers\nTime Flies Air Show – Sail Glider\nAmerican Airpower Museum\n\nWWII Warbirds including a P-40 Warhawk\, P-51 Mustang\, and a\nC-47 Skytrain will be offering rides Friday\, July 31-Sunday\, August 2. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time HERE. Rides are subject to weather.\n\n\n\nThe Wheelmen – “We are a group of collectors\, restorers\, riders and historians dedicated to the enjoyment and preservation of our bicycling heritage.”- Bob McNair\, Founder\nTwin Forks Flight Simulator – Twin Forks Simulation offers full-motion flight simulation through our custom 6 DOF platform\, Full VR immersion\, high-end force feedback controls\, and the ability to fly Airplanes\, Helicopters\, Jets\, and gliders from the Wright Brothers to the modern day. Explore historic aircraft on the flightline\, watch The Wheelmen ride their extraordinary antique bicycles\, take a ride in a century-old steam-powered vehicle\, experience the Twin Forks Flight Simulator\, and enjoy live vintage vehicle demonstrations—including a 100-year-old motorcycle in action. \nYou’ll also find dozens of classic vehicles from exhibitors across the region\, hands-on STEM activities inside the Science & Industry Center\, and the opportunity to tour the museum and Restoration Hangar\, where volunteers preserve our remarkable collection. \nAs soon as conditions allow\, our featured airshow performances will take to the skies.
