Learn & Play at Owls Head Transportation Museum! Your child will love to take part in Owls Head Transportation Museum's STEM Saturdays. From hands-on learning experiences focusing on the science to discovering the history of how people and things move through the world, our programs use over 150 years of transportation history to help students develop critical thinking skills and to make real-world connections from the past to the present and future. Open to all ages: Kindergarten - 8th grade & families Model T meets Robot 10am - 4pm Travel back in time with a Sphero robot to combine its present technology with a classic Model T! What would a Model T look like with futuristic engineering? Head over to OHTM to kick off the STEM Saturday season, and craft a 2D Model T to drive with a Sphero robot!
Be A Marshmallow Engineer When life gives you marshmallows… build a tower! Get ready to engineer 3D structures using only marshmallows and toothpicks. How tall can you build a 3D tower (without eating your materials) ? What other shapes and buildings can you make? The sky’s the limit in this engineering STEM Saturday challenge!
Spooky Science October 11, 2025 10am - 4pm
Get in the spirit of Halloween this STEM Saturday with Spooky Science! Create some creepy slime with glitter glue, baking soda, and googly eyes; watch spiders and eerie colors erupt from jack-o-lantern volcanos using baking soda and vinegar!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an astronaut in outer space? Bring your interstellar imagination to this STEM Saturday - design your own planet to explore, as well as the rocket you will launch to get there! What does your planet look like? Who lives there? What will you name it? The cosmic possibilities are endless!
November 22nd, 2025 10am - 4pm
OHTM’s turkeys have gotten loose, and they’re on the run! Join us this Thanksgiving season by building lego racecars for the turkeys to win races, and navigate lego mazes to return the turkeys back to safety. Lastly, craft your own turkeys and send them on the run with Sphero robots!

It’s crafts galore this STEM Saturday! Bring your creativity and holiday spirit to OHTM, and make an assortment of fun wintery crafts that are sure to bring joy to all.
