Gwen TindallDepartment: Visitor ServicesTitle: Store Manager and Visitor Services E-mail: Phone: (207) 594-4418 x122 Profile: Gwen grew up on the south shore of Massachusetts in a town that boasts the invention of the toll house cookie. She has always had an interest in history, and often used Halloween as an excuse to dress up as favorite historical figures, such as Annie Oakley and Aaron Burr (a requisite mock-duel was staged in her school hallway with a pal playing Hamilton). Gwen attended Boston College, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree. Long drawn to Maine’s natural beauty, friendly residents, and pleasant pace of life, she moved to Vacationland in 2016 and has loved it every year since. Gwen has worked primarily in retail, but has experience in a variety of areas, from toolmaking to tuxedo-renting. At OHTM, Gwen welcomes incoming visitors at the admissions desk, orients them to the museum, and manages the museum store. Her goals at OHTM are to make visitors feel as welcome as possible, get answers to as many questions as she can, and find new and interesting gift shop items that commemorate a visit to Maine’s best museum! |
