Profile:
I trained to be a commercial artist and illustrator, starting off my career at Topps Chewing Gum in Brooklyn working on Star Wars, Charlie’s Angels NFL, NHL and Major League Baseball trading card art as well as other products they produced. I eventually found myself at Heavy Metal Magazine where I did a few magazine covers and interior spot illustrations for them.

I was discovered by Hollywood in the pages of these fantasy magazines, and recruited to design creatures and environments for feature length films for 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios. After this magical period I settled back in New York to do illustrated stories for Warren Publications, with several full length stories inside Eerie Magazine. I eventually set my sights on Advertising and worked for several major ad agencies over the years; including BBDO, J Walter Thompson, Foote Cone & Belding, Lowe & Partners, Messner, Vetere, Berger, McNamee, Schemetterer EURO, RSCG. and Merkley + Partners.

After nearly 40 years in graphics and advertising, my wife Bernadette and I decided to retire and move to the quieter life that Maine afforded. I decided that I wasn’t ready to stay home or go fishing all the time, and so I joined the Owls Head Transportation Museum as a seasonal associate, which has blossomed into much more. I truly love being a part of this wonderful resource and I do my best to make the visitors experience a good one.
